Children's Christmas Lunch

The volunteers arranged a lunch for under-privileged children in the Southern Strand library's surrounding community. Many people such as Marlon Walbrugh, Shahieda Karaan and the library staff contributed selflessly from their own time and resources. The children were entertained with a morality play by local writer Godfrey Luyt.

FOSSL has received more entries for our logo design competition from school children living in our district.

Die "Junior Librarians" naamlik Damian, Elzane, Moejaheed en Rashid is in Augustus gevra om hul eie gedragskode vir die biblioteek op te stel.
Die bestaande reëls van Stad Kaapstad is bespreek en as riglyne gebruik.

Storie tyd

Saterdag 7 November 2009 het "Friends Of Southern Strand Library" (FOSSL) 'n storie-tyd en aktiwiteite vir kleuters en jongspan te Suider-Strand biblioteek gehou.
Van die aktiwiteite was onder meer inkleur tyd. Hier is van die kunswerke wat ons jong talente geskep het.
